ICMAT 2011 is finished!
The symposium on “Frontiers in Optical Bio-imaging and Microscopy“, chaired by Jon Hobley and I went really well. All credit to Jon, who did the lion’s share of the work. We also had a unique (for ICMAT, but normal for a Gordon) poster session, with drinks. Sponsored by the RSC, this allowed the core of the Symposium, speakers, poster presenters and attendees to mix and talk. So we gelled from the first evening, which made for great discussions in the later sessions.
I certainly learned a lot and enjoyed the talks to the end. After the last session, with eviction from our room in Suntec imminent, the entire Symposium then decamped to a bar over the road to talk some more and hatch some plans.
Various comments and photos are surfacing:
Paul Stewart’s blog at Lincoln, which also has the poster session.
