Workshop scope
The workshop aims to establish a framework for the scientific and commercial exploitation of Vietnam’s potential in the development of glycotherapeutics in relation to heparin and heparan sulfate derived from agricultural by products. Areas covered will include purification, processing, structural and functional analysis, with the latter including anticoagulation, regenerative medicine and inhibition of infectious diseases. There will be substantial time devoted to the development of future capacity building research involving UK and Vietnamese participants at all career stages.
UK Participants: There is full funding for seven UK early career researchers (within 10 career years of award of PhD) to participate in the workshop. UK participants may be of any nationality, but must be employed in the UK.
